On the Edge Gardens
On the Edge Gardens was created from the idea that fresh foods should be at your fingertips. There’s no feeling as satisfying or empowering as when you yield your first crop - whether that’s a bounty of greens for your dinner side salad, a bushel of basil for homemade pesto, a seemingly endless supply of summer squash, or even a single cherry tomato popped right into your mouth from the vine.
The goal of OTEG is to inform, educate, and inspire you to take those first steps into gardening. We understand that getting started can be overwhelming with all the new things to learn - we’re still learning every day! Our coaching and consultation sessions are designed to make vegetable gardening approachable, simple, and personalized. We’ll asses your space and goals and provide knowledge and resources to take the guesswork out of getting started.
Chelsea & Hunter
For as long as we can remember, we’ve always been covered in dirt. As kids of parents with green thumbs, it was inevitable that we’d be gardeners as well. Although we’ve been friends for years now, our friendship was initially sparked from this common interest - swapping seeds and transplants, troubleshooting compost systems, trading harvest recipes and seed catalogs, and wrangling worms, bees, and chickens. We’ve dabbled in everything our own backyards can support. Now, with over 10 years of combined experience, we’ve honed in on how to be successful in our South Austin gardens.
